Administrator's guide
An Administrator manages an organization. This status is granted in webarch, outside SpokenWords, and appears as a badge in the Members list. It also gives you the lead's controls on every production owned by that team.
Team membership and production assignments are separate. A team member is either an Administrator or a Member; a production assignment has one of five roles: lead, producer, editor, narrator, or reviewer. See the roles overview.
The productions dashboard
On Productions, you can see every team you administer. Productions are grouped by team, then under Queue (not started), Ongoing (in progress), or Completed (done). If you are also invited to work on a production, unanswered invitations appear under Incoming. Invitations you declined remain under Declined, where you can accept them later. These two groups are shown only when they contain a production. Each card shows the title, details and progress; click it to open the Studio. Your organization appears in the page header. A system administrator can access every team and uses a team picker there to narrow the view.
Everyone else gets a personal view instead — My productions: the ones they own plus the ones assigned to them.
Managing members
The Members tab shows each person's team membership as Administrator or Member. Administrator status is managed in webarch. Production roles are assigned separately in Putting people on the production.
Beside a member's email address, Administers … lists the products they manage. Product administration does not change their team membership badge. A team administrator manages every product owned by the team, so their card says Administers all products. If no products are listed, the member manages none.
Enter a person's email address to add them to the team. Add becomes available when the address matches an eligible account. If the account does not exist, is deactivated, or already belongs to the team, an explanation appears below the field. You can also remove members from this tab. Administrators cannot be removed here, so their cards have no remove button.
The tab opens on your team's roster. A system administrator first chooses a team in the page header. With All teams selected, it lists teams and hides Add until a specific team is chosen.
You can assign people who have access to the production's Product. This includes members of the team that owns it and people with direct product access who belong to no team, such as freelance narrators. They do not need to join your team to work on a production.
Running the team's productions
For productions owned by your team, you have the same controls as the lead: import manuscripts, manage Production roles, use Edit production details, check delivery readiness, process audio, export to webarch and delete productions. The Lead's guide explains these controls.
An administrator has these controls on every production owned by their team; a lead has them on assigned productions. Administrators do not need a separate production assignment, and someone outside the team can lead a production without becoming a team administrator.
Focus mode, the notifications bell, locked manuscripts, and other controls shared by every role are described under Common to every role on the overview.
